Klarent, a Zurich, Switzerland-based startup developing an autonomous software testing platform, raised $8 million in seed funding. The round was led by Mosaic Ventures, with participation from Moonfire Ventures, AngelInvest Ventures and individual investors including Jürgen Galler and Harris Barton.
Founded in 2023 by former Google engineers Asheem Panakkat and Momchil Ivanov, Klarent provides AI-powered software testing solutions for enterprises. Panakkat serves as Co-Founder and CEO, while Ivanov is Co-Founder and CTO. The company was previously known as fore ai.
Klarent’s platform uses autonomous AI agents to automate software quality assurance across web and mobile applications. Its system employs large language models to generate and update test code, while the resulting tests execute through deterministic processes designed to deliver consistent and repeatable results.
The platform also incorporates human-in-the-loop verification to review testing outcomes. This approach is intended to reduce the manual effort required to create, execute and maintain software tests while helping engineering teams identify issues during development.
Klarent serves enterprise customers across sectors including retail, media, mobility and financial services. Its reported customers include JD Sports, Swiss media company Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) and mobility provider Sixt.
The company plans to use the new capital to support its expansion into the United States, strengthen its engineering team and further develop its testing capabilities across web and mobile platforms.
The investment will also support Klarent’s efforts to expand the adoption of autonomous quality assurance technology among enterprise software development teams.
