Mueon Corporation, a US-based semiconductor systems startup developing modular computing infrastructure for AI and hyperscale data centers, has raised $65 million in a Series A funding round led by Maverick Silicon.

The round included participation from Intel Capital, Geodesic Alliances Fund, Oregon Venture Fund, M-Ventures, Wellington Capital, IQT and Defined. The financing brings Mueon’s total capital raised to more than $80 million.

Founded in 2025 by former Intel engineers Wilfred Gomes and Jack Hwang, Mueon is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Gomes serves as the company’s CEO, while Hwang is its CTO. The company develops semiconductor-based computing systems designed to address power consumption, memory access and infrastructure density challenges in large-scale AI computing.

Mueon’s Exponential Computing Platform is built around Cubelets, modular three-dimensional computing and memory building blocks. The architecture integrates compute, memory, interconnect, power delivery and thermal management into compact, stackable systems.

By positioning these components closer together, the company aims to reduce the distance data travels between computing and memory resources, improving system efficiency and increasing computing density.

Mueon is targeting up to tenfold improvements in power and cost efficiency within the same data center rack footprint. These figures represent the company’s development targets rather than independently established production performance.

The startup plans to use the Series A capital to expand its engineering and operations teams, advance Cubelets from platform development toward system validation and production readiness, and strengthen customer engagements.

As part of the financing, Manish Muthal, Senior Managing Director at Maverick Silicon, will join Mueon’s board of directors alongside Intel Capital Managing Director Srini Ananth.

The funding follows Mueon’s $15.5 million seed round announced in September 2025, which was led by Intel Capital with participation from Geodesic Alliance Fund and Oregon Venture Fund. The company emerged from stealth alongside that financing and introduced its Cubelets architecture for AI and hyperscale computing infrastructure.
