Fission, a New York-based fintech company developing liquidity infrastructure for tokenized investment funds, announced a $10 million Series A funding round on October 15, 2026, led by Pantera Capital.
The financing brought in Circle Ventures, Borderless Capital and Ari Rubenstein, CEO of GTS. The company’s existing investor base includes New Form, gumi Cryptos Capital, Anthony Scaramucci, Manhattan Venture Partners, Reflexive Capital and Lattice Capital.
Founded in 2024 and led by founder and CEO Jonathan Shaffer, Fission develops infrastructure that enables eligible investors to access liquidity from tokenized investment funds without waiting for their scheduled redemption periods.
The platform allows investors to sell supported tokenized fund positions, with Fission acquiring the holdings and managing the underlying redemption process. Its infrastructure serves institutional investment products, including private credit and alternative investment funds, while incorporating investor eligibility requirements, securities compliance controls and transfer restrictions.
Fission said it has already processed millions of dollars in transactions. The company plans to use the new funding to increase its liquidity capacity, expand the range of supported tokenized assets and strengthen integrations with institutional investment platforms.
The Series A follows a $1.6 million pre-seed funding round announced in October 2024, led by SALT Fund and Kraynos Capital, with participation from Anthony Scaramucci.
