Restate team representing the durable execution infrastructure company following its $20 million Series A funding announcement.
Durable execution infrastructure startup Restate has raised $20 million in Series A funding to expand its platform, team and US presence.

Restate has raised $20 million in a Series A round led by Singular, with participation from Redpoint Ventures and Capital One Ventures. The durable execution infrastructure startup announced the financing on September 30, 2026.

Founded in 2022, Restate builds infrastructure designed to make AI agents, workflows and backend services resilient to failures and interruptions. The company’s platform preserves execution progress and state, allowing applications and long-running processes to recover and continue rather than restart when failures occur.

Restate’s founding team includes Stephan Ewen, Till Rohrmann, Igal Shilman and Ahmed Farghal. Ewen, Rohrmann and Shilman previously worked on Apache Flink and distributed systems infrastructure, while Restate’s official team page also identifies Farghal as a co-founder.

The company says its technology is being used for the execution of Replit Agent, enterprise workflows at DOSS and production applications at large enterprises. Restate plans to use the new capital to expand its team, develop the platform further and strengthen its presence in the United States, including its San Francisco Bay Area operations.

The Series A follows Restate’s $7 million seed round announced in June 2024. That financing was led by Redpoint Ventures, with participation from Essence VC and firstminute.capital.
