Oslo-based building engineering startup Solvera a raised $6.3 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Seedcamp. The round included participation from Construct Venture, Inception Fund, Momentum, OBOS Ventures, PSV Tech, Sondo and The Nordic Web Ventures. Angel investors included Spacemaker founders Anders Kvåle and Håvard Haukeland.
Founded in July 2026 by Arif Mirza, Pål Rasmussen and Thorvald Thorsnes, Solvera provides AI-enabled engineering services for the construction industry. Mirza serves as CEO, Rasmussen as CTO and Thorsnes as CCO.
The company combines experienced building engineers with proprietary AI technology to deliver engineering designs, initially focusing on mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems.
Rather than offering standalone engineering software, Solvera operates as the engineering firm responsible for project deliverables. Its proprietary operating system, SolveraOS, uses AI agents to automate repetitive design tasks, evaluate alternatives and coordinate work across engineering disciplines. Experienced engineers retain responsibility for technical decisions and final deliverables.
The company follows an outcome-based pricing model, charging clients for completed engineering work rather than software licences or consulting hours.
Solvera reported exceeding $1 million in contracted revenue within its first three months of operations. The company is working on several commercial construction projects in Norway, including projects with Norwegian contractor Betonmast.
The new funding will support the expansion of Solvera’s building engineering and technology teams in Oslo, the establishment of an office in London and further development of its operating system.
