VoltaBack has raised €2.8 million in seed funding led by Serena to grow its team and expand its software-based fleet and EV charging platform across Europe.

VoltaBack, a French fleet management software startup, has raised €2.8 million in a seed funding round led by Serena. The round also included angel investors Aurélien de Meaux, co-founder of electric vehicle charging company Electra, and Maxime Brousse, an investor and Sequoia Scout.

Founded in 2024 by Arnaud Tran and Adrien Guenard, VoltaBack develops software for companies managing electric and connected vehicle fleets. French corporate records list Tran and Guenard as the company’s executives, while Entrepreneurs First identifies the pair as VoltaBack’s founders.

The company’s platform initially focused on automating reimbursement when employees charge company electric vehicles at home. Employees can connect their vehicle and electricity information to the platform, which calculates charging costs and generates reimbursement documentation without requiring dedicated charging hardware.

VoltaBack plans to use the new capital to expand its team and accelerate the rollout of its connected vehicle platform across Europe. The company is also broadening its product beyond home charging reimbursement to support wider fleet management requirements using connected vehicle data.

Serena said VoltaBack signed 20% of CAC 40 companies within a 12-month period, with deployments spanning six countries.
