Egyptian edtech startup 3C Coding School has raised $3 million in seed funding in a direct equity round led by MRG Economic Group, with participation from investor Amr Saad and a group of strategic angel investors.
The company plans to use the capital to support its expansion in Saudi Arabia, strengthen its technology infrastructure and accelerate development of an AI-powered personalised learning platform designed to adapt educational content to students’ progress and learning pace.
Founded in 2015 by Hosam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf, 3C Coding School provides coding and technology education for children and young people. Its programmes cover areas including web and mobile development, data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, game development and cybersecurity.
The Cairo-based company offers technology education to students aged 6 to 18 through live and project-based learning programmes. Its official website says it has trained more than 100,000 students across 22 countries, while the funding announcement said its student base has surpassed 120,000.
