Melius, a New York-based AI startup building tools for creative production, has raised a $20 million Series A led by CRV, bringing its total funding to $25 million. The total includes an earlier $5 million seed round led by General Catalyst. Genius Ventures, Vine Ventures and Anti Fund also participated in the financing.

Melius was co-founded by CEO Joowon Kim, CTO Young Kim and COO Arnav Ramu. The company develops a shared creative operating system where AI agents can handle production workflows involving images, video and audio. Its platform is designed to connect multiple stages of creative work and reduce the need to manually coordinate prompts and tools across separate applications.

The company plans to use the capital to expand its team, build out its go-to-market and sales organization, and continue developing its agents lab for creative work.

Melius came out of stealth with its agents platform in July 2026. The company said it subsequently crossed a seven-figure run rate in under three months and that thousands of teams were using its platform for creative production.
