Hilt, a US cybersecurity startup focused on data movement security, has raised $4.2 million in seed funding led by Array Ventures. Verdict Capital, Base10 Partners, Brickyard, Liquid 2 Ventures, Sequel, the Sarah Smith Fund and Alumni Ventures also participated in the round.
Founded in 2025, Hilt was started in San Francisco and later moved its headquarters to Chattanooga, Tennessee. William Cielen serves as co-founder and CEO, while Alexandre Genest is co-founder and CTO. The team also includes founding engineer Zin Bitar.
Hilt develops data movement governance software for security teams. Its platform monitors activity at the operating-system kernel level across cloud, endpoint and network environments, using metadata and behavioral baselines to identify anomalous data movement, including activity carried out through valid credentials or authorised channels.
The seed financing brings Hilt’s total disclosed funding to $4.7 million. The company previously raised a $500,000 pre-seed round led by Pear VC in October 2025.
