Scanntech, a Uruguay-based retail intelligence and data analytics company, announced a $180 million Series F financing on October 13, 2026. The investment was led by L Catterton, with Partners Group joining as co-lead through its private equity growth strategy. Bradesco and SPX also participated in the round. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
Founded in Uruguay in 1992 by Raúl Polakof, Benny Szylkowski and Soledad Fernández, Scanntech develops technology and data intelligence solutions for the retail and consumer goods industries. Polakof serves as co-founder and CEO, Szylkowski as Global Chairman of Retail, and Fernández as co-founder and CTO.
Scanntech operates a retail intelligence platform that collects transaction-level information directly from point-of-sale systems. The platform processes actual retail sales data to help retailers, consumer goods manufacturers and distributors understand purchasing behaviour and market conditions.
Its analytics solutions support decisions related to pricing, promotional campaigns, product assortment, inventory management and supply chain planning. The company operates across several Latin American markets, including Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru and Uruguay.
According to Scanntech, its transaction-level data covers more than 80% of retail sell-out in the markets where it operates. The company also works with more than 600 manufacturers, alongside retailers and distributors.
Scanntech plans to use the investment to expand its geographic presence, enter additional consumer categories and develop its analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities. The company also intends to broaden its product portfolio to support more retail and consumer goods applications.
Existing shareholders Warburg Pincus, Hindiana, International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Endeavor are expected to retain stakes following the transaction. J.P. Morgan served as the sole placement agent.
Scanntech previously received a R$210 million minority investment from Warburg Pincus in 2023, which supported its development of retail intelligence solutions and geographic expansion.
