Ospitek, a San Diego, California-based provider of AI- and IoT-powered surgical operations software, has received an investment from HealthpointCapital, a private equity firm focused on musculoskeletal healthcare. The investment was announced on October 13, 2026, with financial terms undisclosed.
The investment will support Ospitek’s continued development of its technology platform, expansion of its commercial operations, customer success capabilities, and product innovation. The company also plans to extend the availability of its surgical workflow technology to more healthcare facilities across the United States.
Founded in 2018, Ospitek was co-founded by Dr. Slim Souissi, Don Courtney, and Dr. Munish Batra. Souissi serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
Ospitek develops software that enables healthcare providers to monitor and manage patient movement throughout the surgical process. Its platform combines artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) technology, automation, and analytics to provide real-time visibility into surgical workflows.
The platform serves ambulatory surgery centers, specialty hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. It helps clinical and administrative teams coordinate activities, automate communications, monitor operating room utilization, and analyze patient throughput.
Ospitek’s technology also captures operational data throughout the patient journey, allowing healthcare organizations to identify workflow bottlenecks, measure performance, and make decisions based on real-time information.
HealthpointCapital, led by Managing Partner Mike Mogul, specializes in investments across the musculoskeletal healthcare sector. Its investment in Ospitek adds surgical operations and patient flow intelligence software to its healthcare investment portfolio.
The investment follows HealthpointCapital’s involvement with SteriCUBE, a surgical equipment flow management business, as the firm continues investing in technologies designed to support operational efficiency in healthcare facilities.
