San Francisco-based Broccoli, an AI-powered software platform for home-services businesses, has raised $52 million across its Series A and Series B financing rounds. Both rounds were led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator and Operator Partners.

The financing comprised a $22 million Series A and a $30 million Series B, completed nine months apart. Broccoli plans to use the capital to accelerate hiring and expand its AI capabilities across customer service and business operations.

Broccoli was co-founded by AJ Jain, its CEO, and Aditya Ketkar, its CTO. The founders previously worked together on Telematica, a Y Combinator-backed technology startup, before developing Broccoli’s platform for the home-services industry.

The company provides AI agents that automate customer communication and administrative workflows for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, garage door, pest control and other home-services businesses.

Its platform handles incoming calls, schedules appointments, follows up on outstanding estimates, manages service membership renewals and reconnects with previous customers. The software also integrates with existing business systems to coordinate customer interactions and service bookings.

According to the company, more than 1,500 home-services businesses use its platform, including Ace Hardware Home Services, Any Hour Group, Mr. Electric and Authority Brands. Broccoli reported that its AI agents have handled more than 10 million customer conversations and booked 2.5 million service and sales appointments.

Broccoli’s first customer was Armstrong Plumbing, whose operator, Marcelle Flowers, subsequently joined the company as Chief Industry Officer. The business has since expanded its platform to support a wider range of customer engagement and operational tasks.

Headquartered in San Francisco, with additional offices in Utah, Broccoli plans to expand its team and develop further AI capabilities for home-services operators.
