Re:Build Manufacturing, a US-based advanced manufacturing company, announced on October 27, 2026, that it had secured $2.1 billion in new funding. The investment was led by General Catalyst and JPMorganChase’s Strategic Investment Group, which oversees direct equity investments under the bank’s Security and Resiliency Initiative.
Founded in 2020 by Jeff Wilke, Miles Arnone, and William Barker, Re:Build Manufacturing is headquartered in Framingham, Massachusetts. Arnone serves as CEO, while Wilke and Barker serve as co-executive chairmen. The company combines product development, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities to help industrial businesses move products from initial design through large-scale production.
Re:Build works with companies developing complex hardware products, providing services that include product design, prototyping, precision machining, composite manufacturing, and industrial automation. Its manufacturing approach integrates production requirements into the product development process to improve manufacturability and support production at scale.
The new capital will be used to expand Re:Build’s US manufacturing capacity and support the creation of new industrial startups. The company’s planned expansion covers aerospace and defense, electrification, medical technology, energy and environmental applications, and robotics and automation.
Re:Build operates through a network of specialized manufacturing businesses and also develops new industrial companies within its ecosystem. Its ventures include Slate Auto and Neon Aero, reflecting its involvement in both manufacturing services and industrial company development.
According to the company, Re:Build and its associated businesses employ more than 2,100 people and operate across more than 2.4 million square feet of advanced manufacturing capacity in the United States.
The funding follows Re:Build’s October 2026 announcement of plans to invest approximately $20 million in a 130,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Rock Hill, South Carolina. That expansion is expected to create 150 jobs by 2028 and increase the company’s advanced machining and composite manufacturing capabilities.
