Foundry Robotics, a US-based robotics and advanced manufacturing startup, has raised $100 million in a Series A funding round led by Marlinspike Partners.
The round included participation from existing investors Khosla Ventures, Red Glass Ventures, Hanabi and Zero Shot Fund, alongside new investors SE Ventures, Wing VC and Axiom Ventures.
Founded in 2026 by CEO Adarsh Kulkarni and co-founder Emmanuel Lamacchia, Foundry Robotics develops and operates autonomous factories designed to manufacture complex hardware using AI-powered robotic systems.
The Emeryville, California-based company provides manufacturing-as-a-service, combining robotic assembly cells with manufacturing expertise to help customers move from product design to production without investing in dedicated assembly lines.
Its proprietary software platform, FoundryOS, connects robotic systems, factory operations and cloud infrastructure. The system is designed to support flexible production, allowing robotic cells to adapt to different assembly tasks and product requirements.
Foundry Robotics serves defense and commercial industries, with applications including drones, autonomous vehicle components, wire harnesses, underwater vehicles, telecommunications infrastructure, ground robots and satellite components.
The company operates a 130,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Emeryville, representing a twentyfold expansion of its manufacturing footprint. Foundry says the facility is already shipping products to customers in sectors including energy, telecommunications, autonomous vehicles and defense.
Foundry Robotics plans to use the Series A proceeds to expand its Emeryville operations, accelerate the deployment of AI models in manufacturing environments and recruit additional staff across robotics research, engineering and factory operations.
Before founding Foundry Robotics, Kulkarni worked at Ghost Robotics and served as Scale AI’s first Head of Robotics. Lamacchia previously worked at Tesla, where he was involved in the Model Y vehicle programme.
