Seattle-based compute infrastructure company Luxor Technology has raised $16 million in a strategic funding round led by CMT Digital, with participation from Canaan, MicroBT, Halo, Steelhead and additional angel investors. The financing included both primary and secondary capital.
Founded in 2017, Luxor was co-founded by Nick Hansen, Eddie Wang, Ethan Vera and Guzman Pintos. Hansen serves as CEO, Wang as CTO, Vera as COO and Pintos as CPO. The company develops hardware, software, energy and financial infrastructure for Bitcoin mining and artificial intelligence computing.
Luxor plans to use the investment to expand its agentic cloud platform, provide working capital for its AI hardware business, scale compute derivatives trading and market-making operations, and recruit additional engineering and go-to-market personnel.
The company’s AI hardware business sources GPUs and AI servers for computing infrastructure operators. Its broader offering includes cloud infrastructure for AI agents, energy services, compute capacity trading and financial contracts linked to computing resources.
The funding follows the September 2026 launch of Luxor AI, a business segment extending the company’s existing Bitcoin mining infrastructure services into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.
Through its Tenki Cloud platform, Luxor provides development tools including isolated execution environments for AI agents, software testing infrastructure and automated code review. The company also operates Hashrate Index, a data and research platform covering Bitcoin mining and AI computing markets.
According to Luxor, its cloud platform had processed 1.8 million workloads during 2026 through September. The company also reported that its hardware brokerage had traded $1 billion worth of Bitcoin mining equipment and that its energy business serviced more than 75 megawatts of electrical load across US power markets.
Luxor previously raised $5 million in a Series A funding round led by NYDIG in June 2021. The latest investment supports its expansion into AI hardware, cloud computing and compute-related financial services.
