CHD (Connected Health Development), a Switzerland-based medtech startup developing remote maternal and fetal monitoring technology, has secured CHF 150,000 in funding support from Venture Kick. The funding will support the development and validation of its MONI2 platform, designed to enable monitoring of high-risk pregnancies outside hospital settings.

Founded in 2026 and headquartered in Epalinges, near Lausanne, CHD develops connected healthcare solutions integrating wearable medical sensors, digital platforms, and data analytics. Its technology focuses on helping healthcare professionals monitor maternal and fetal health remotely.

The company’s MONI2 platform incorporates a washable smart-textile belt equipped with sensors that collect maternal and fetal electrocardiogram (ECG) data, uterine contractions, fetal movements, and fetal position.

The system is designed to provide pregnant women with simplified health indicators through a mobile application. Healthcare professionals will be able to access detailed physiological data and predictive indicators through a secure web portal, supporting clinical assessment and remote monitoring.

CHD is led by CEO Laurent Vandebrouck, Chief Medical Officer Prof. Nicolas Sananès, and Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Marc Salomon. The management team combines experience in digital health, obstetrics, cardiology, and medical technology development.

The company plans to use the Venture Kick funding to develop, test, and validate functional MONI2 prototypes by the second quarter of 2027. It is targeting the commercial release of a consumer version in early 2028, with a medical version also planned.

CHD previously announced its selection for Venture Kick’s initial financial and operational support stage in May 2026. The company has also participated in Biopôle’s Vanguard Accelerator programme, which supports early-stage digital health businesses.

The MONI2 platform remains under development, with CHD working towards clinical validation and commercial deployment of its remote pregnancy monitoring technology.
