Blackswan Space, a Vilnius-based space technology startup developing autonomous navigation and mission simulation systems for spacecraft, has raised €2.5 million in seed funding led by Iron Wolf Capital. The round also included Lemonade Stand, NGL Ventures, and angel investors Linas Sargautis and Tomas Žalandauskas. Iron Wolf Capital said Lemonade Stand and Sargautis were existing investors, while NGL Ventures and Žalandauskas were new investors in the round.

Founded in 2019, Blackswan Space is led by founder and CEO Marius Klimavičius. The company develops technology designed to give spacecraft greater autonomy for navigation and complex in-orbit operations.

Its product portfolio includes the Mission Design Simulator, a software environment for designing, prototyping and testing space missions in real time, and the RPO Kit, a plug-and-play spacecraft payload for autonomous rendezvous, proximity operations and docking. The RPO Kit uses vision-based target identification and tracking to support autonomous navigation manoeuvres.

The company plans to use the new capital to expand its core systems engineering team, grow commercial software sales across Europe and the United States, and support final testing and orbital deployment of its hardware systems.

Blackswan Space is also preparing its RPO technology for in-orbit use. The company previously announced that its RPO Kit would form part of the Orbit Fab-led ASTRAL in-orbit refuelling demonstration planned for 2028. In January 2026, Blackswan Space also announced a €600,000 European Space Agency contract to advance its Vision-Based Navigation technology, also referred to as the RPO Kit, toward Technology Readiness Level 6.
