Milan-based compliance software company Complaion has raised €13.5 million in a seed round co-led by Eurazeo and Italian Founders Fund. The round also included Shapers, 2100 Ventures, Kfund, Sella Direct Ventures, Enzo Ventures, Vento, Ithaca, Eden Ventures and Vesper.
Complaion was founded by Edoardo Tarricone, Marco Cortinovis and Alessandro Vaccarino, who serve as CEO, COO and CTO, respectively. The company provides software and expert support to help small and medium-sized businesses obtain and maintain ISO certifications and manage regulatory compliance requirements. Its platform automates parts of the compliance workflow while certified Lead Auditors handle activities requiring specialist oversight.
The company says its technology can automate up to 80% of repetitive compliance work. Complaion currently supports more than 900 customers across more than 10 geographies, according to Eurazeo.
The new capital will support further investment in Complaion’s product and team and its expansion across Europe. The company is extending its presence beyond Italy, including into Spain.
