Critical Materials Group has secured $10.3 million in Seed funding to develop and commission modular energetics production systems for the US defense industrial base.

Critical Materials Group, a Texas-based manufacturer focused on domestic energetics production, has raised $10.3 million in Seed funding led by Overmatch Ventures. Victory Six Advisors and Fulcrum Ventures also participated in the round.

Founded in 2025 and led by co-founder and CEO Kevin Capozzoli, Critical Materials Group develops modular, automation-ready production systems designed to expand energetics manufacturing capacity for the US defense industrial base. The company manufactures military-grade energetics and is developing systems intended to complement existing manufacturers and defense contractors.

Critical Materials Group plans to use the funding to accelerate development and commissioning of its modular production platform, expand its engineering and operations team, and advance regulatory milestones.

The company’s platform is designed to provide flexible additional production capacity while integrating automation into energetics manufacturing processes.
