Elucid raises $55M for AI cardiovascular imaging software
Boston-based Elucid raised $55 million in Series D financing to expand its AI-powered cardiovascular imaging platform and advance clinical development.

Elucid, a Boston-based medical technology company developing AI-powered cardiovascular imaging software, has raised $55 million in an oversubscribed Series D financing. The round included participation from new and existing investors, including IAG Capital Partners and Elevage Medical Technologies, as well as an unnamed large medtech company joining as a strategic investor.

The financing brings Elucid’s total funding raised to approximately $185 million. The company plans to use the capital to expand commercialization of its clinical platform, invest in AI research and development, advance clinical studies and support additional strategic partnerships in the medical technology sector.

Elucid develops software that converts CT angiography data into quantitative cardiovascular insights. Its platform includes Plaque-IQ, an FDA-cleared image analysis product designed to quantify and characterize plaque in coronary and carotid arteries.

The company is also developing BioIntegrated FFR-CT, which combines vessel anatomy, plaque biology and physiology to assess coronary artery disease and its effect on blood flow. The product’s 510(k) submission is currently under FDA review.

Elucid is led by President and CEO Kelly Huang.
