Sela, a San Francisco-based voice AI company serving mortgage lenders, has brought its total funding to $21 million across Seed and Series A financing. Emergence Capital led the company’s Seed round in 2024, while Costanoa led its Series A in September 2026, with Emergence participating again.

Founded by Nate Becker and Vahe Tshitoyan, who serve as CEO and CTO respectively, Sela develops AI voice agents for mortgage lenders. Its platform handles borrower outreach and qualification, supports conversations with prospective borrowers, and transfers qualified customers to licensed loan officers.

Sela said it plans to use the financing to expand its team and continue developing AI agents that can support borrowers across more of the consumer finance journey.

The company also said its agents help loan officers originate more than $1 billion in new mortgages per month and that it crossed $10 million in annualized run-rate revenue within 18 months. Sela said six of the 10 largest independent mortgage banks in the US use its platform.
