Unravel Health, a London-based healthtech startup developing at-home hormone monitoring technology, has announced a €2.96 million (£2.5 million) pre-seed funding round to advance its saliva-based diagnostic device, Micro Lab.

The round was led by Conduit EIS Impact Fund and Wrightwood, with participation from Leo Capital, Embryo Ventures, Hermesa and returning investor Zinc VC. The financing reached an initial close of more than £2 million on October 2, 2026, with additional investors expected to join the round.

Founded in 2024 by Veronika Bridgman, Liza Levy and Dr. Alexandra Oti, Unravel Health focuses on developing technology that allows women to monitor changes in hormone levels over time. Bridgman serves as CEO, Levy as Chief Commercial Officer and Oti as Chief Medical Officer.

The company’s Micro Lab is a palm-sized device designed to measure multiple hormones from a single saliva sample within minutes. It is being developed to measure oestradiol, a form of oestrogen, alongside three other hormones, allowing users to track hormonal fluctuations through repeated testing at home.

The underlying biosensor technology was developed through more than a decade of research at the University of Glasgow and is protected by three granted patents. The company aims to use repeated hormone measurements to support a better understanding of hormone-related symptoms and conditions, including premenstrual disorders and hormonal migraines.

Unravel Health plans to use the new funding for additional studies comparing its technology with established testing methods, development of further hormone markers and regulatory preparations.

The company is targeting its first early-access devices in 2027 through partnerships with pharmacies, digital health providers and clinical research organisations. Its initial focus is women’s hormonal health, with plans to expand its testing capabilities into men’s health.
