General Medicine has raised $120 million in Series B financing led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Matrix, VXI Capital, Eli Lilly and Company, Mercy Health through Granger Management, and BoxGroup. The round brings the company’s total funding to $152 million.
Founded in 2023 by TJ Parker, Elliot Cohen and Ashwin Muralidharan, General Medicine is a San Francisco-based healthcare startup operating a nationwide platform where customers can search, compare and purchase healthcare services. Its catalog covers medications, laboratory tests, telehealth, specialist e-consults, and select in-person visits and procedures, with insurance and out-of-pocket pricing shown before customers make a purchase.
General Medicine says its catalog now includes more than 2,900 products and services. Customers can shop directly for care when they know what they need, speak virtually with a licensed clinician for guidance, or use the company’s AI-based option to explore possible next steps before accessing care.
The company said it plans to use the Series B capital to expand its store into additional categories of care. General Medicine launched nationwide in May 2025, when it announced $32 million in funding.
