Punch, an Atlanta-based construction technology startup, has raised $2 million in funding from returning investor Gutter Capital, with participation from existing customer companies and technology angel investors. The funding will support product development, team expansion and wider adoption of its construction intelligence platform.
Founded in 2025 by Taylor Sandusky, Punch Software Inc. develops AI-powered software that connects construction field operations with project management, purchasing and accounting workflows. Its platform helps contractors convert jobsite information into operational records and actions while reducing repetitive administrative work.
The platform allows construction superintendents and other field personnel to submit information through voice messages, photographs and forwarded emails. Punch processes these inputs using AI and applies company-specific procedures to generate daily reports, identify project delays, create follow-up tasks and prepare purchase orders.
For example, material requests can be converted into purchase orders using a contractor’s supplier pricing and approval requirements. Punch also operates alongside existing estimating and accounting systems, allowing contractors to introduce the platform for individual workflows such as daily reporting, purchasing and invoice review.
Punch is additionally developing capabilities to help construction companies retain institutional knowledge. Its software brings together project information, internal procedures and approval rules to make established operating practices accessible across teams.
The company reported that Dustin Gibbs, general superintendent at Atlanta-based Piedmont Drywall, reduced the time required to complete a daily report from approximately 30 minutes to three minutes using Punch. Gibbs also estimated saving around 2.5 hours per day across reporting, material ordering and payroll-related activities.
Punch plans to use the new capital to expand its engineering and customer-facing teams, continue improving its construction intelligence technology and support implementation among additional contractors.
