Alchera Technologies branding for the UK-based AI-powered transport data and analytics company.
UK transport technology startup Alchera Technologies secured £2.7 million in seed funding led by Maven Capital Partners, with participation from Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund, The FSE Group, Cambridge Applied Research and match funding from Innovate UK.

Alchera Technologies, a UK-based transport data and analytics company, has raised £2.7 million in seed funding to expand its AI-powered platform for highways operators and local authorities.

The round included £2 million in investment led by Maven Capital Partners through the British Business Bank’s South West Investment Fund, alongside Bayes Entrepreneurship Fund and The FSE Group. A further £700,000 came through match funding from Innovate UK’s Investor Partnerships programme. Existing investor Cambridge Applied Research also participated in the round.

Founded in 2016, Alchera Technologies is led by co-founder and CEO Anna Jordan. The company develops software that helps transport authorities, highway operators and infrastructure planners analyse data from multiple sources to support operational and planning decisions.

Its platform integrates information from traffic management systems, vehicle movements, bus networks, sensors and third-party data sources. Using machine learning and traffic modelling, the software identifies network patterns, highlights performance issues and forecasts potential outcomes.

The platform supports applications including roadworks planning, bus network performance analysis, traffic management and infrastructure resilience. Transport operators can access its analytical capabilities through dashboards and data interfaces.

Alchera’s technology has been used in work involving roadworks planning on the M25 and bus network analysis in Lancashire.

The company plans to use the new funding to accelerate product development, simplify deployment and onboarding for new customers, and support further business expansion.
