Abby Care, a San Francisco-based healthtech company focused on family-led home care, has raised $82 million in Series C funding led by Transformation Capital. The round included new investors CVS Health Ventures, Frist Cressey Ventures and Pivotal Ventures, alongside existing backers Khosla Ventures, Thrive Capital and Sequoia Capital.
Founded by Havi Nguyen, Abby Care helps family members become trained, certified and paid caregivers for relatives who require ongoing support at home. The company operates as a Medicaid provider and works with health plans to facilitate access to home-based care.
Its care model combines caregiver training, compensation and ongoing clinical supervision with an AI-powered technology platform. The platform supports care documentation, coordination and monitoring, providing health plans with greater visibility into services delivered at home.
Abby Care plans to use the new financing to expand into additional US states, invest in AI technology and clinical research, and strengthen partnerships with healthcare payers. The investments will support its efforts to improve care coordination and oversight within family caregiving programmes.
The company currently serves families across eight US states. According to Abby Care, its patient census has increased more than fivefold since its Series B financing, which was led by Thrive Capital in the third quarter of 2024.
The Series C financing will support Abby Care’s continued expansion of its family caregiving services and the technology infrastructure used to connect caregivers, patients, clinicians and health plans.
