Norwegian fintech company Neonomics has secured $4 million in new funding from existing shareholders to support its expansion in open banking payments and financial data services. The Oslo-based company announced the financing on October 15, 2026, following an operational restructuring aimed at reducing costs and strengthening its commercial focus.
Neonomics said the restructuring reduced its operating cost base by nearly 50% while maintaining its existing customer base. The company also reported more than 60% growth in new customer acquisition since the beginning of 2026, supported by demand across its payments and financial data businesses.
Founded in 2017 by Christoffer Andvig, Neonomics provides open finance infrastructure that enables businesses to access banking data, initiate payments, verify financial information and develop financial services. Its platform serves businesses across Europe through application programming interfaces (APIs) that connect financial institutions with digital products and business applications.
The company’s services include Nello Pay for bank-based payments, Nello Data for account information access and Nello AI for enhanced financial data. These products support financial applications, account verification and payment integration for businesses.
Under the leadership of CEO Alfonso Muñoz, Neonomics is increasing its focus on helping businesses process, enrich and interpret financial information. The company has identified opportunities in consumer financial services, personal finance, accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP), where financial data can support automated workflows and financial products.
The latest funding will support the company’s efforts to scale its operations and develop its financial data and payment capabilities.
Neonomics operates under authorisation from the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority, with its account information and payment initiation services passported across the European Union. Its infrastructure connects businesses with financial institutions across European markets.
