Czech edtech startup ArtMaster has secured $2.4 million in seed funding led by Factorial Capital. The company will develop its AI-powered music learning platform, Artie, which has attracted more than 500,000 users worldwide.

ArtMaster, a Prague-based edtech company developing AI-powered creative learning applications, has raised $2.4 million in seed funding led by Factorial Capital.

The round attracted investments from Reflex Capital, Moises, Nir Zicherman, Grant Davis and Eliska Vorel. The company has also received backing from Robert Kyncl, CEO of Warner Music Group, and Jaroslav Beck, founder of Beat Saber.

Founded in 2018 by Radim Vysoký and Michal Novák, ArtMaster began as a music education business offering in-person lessons in Prague. It subsequently expanded into online courses before developing AI-based tools that provide personalised guidance to learners.

The company’s flagship application, Artie, is an AI-powered piano learning platform designed to help users develop their musical skills through individualised learning paths and feedback. The application analyses users’ playing, identifies areas for improvement and guides practice based on their progress.

According to the company, Artie has attracted more than 500,000 users worldwide and generated over 100 million views across social media platforms within a year.

ArtMaster plans to use the new capital to develop and refine its AI models, improve personalised learning capabilities and expand its technology to additional musical instruments and other creative skills.

The company is working towards more adaptive learning experiences in which AI can generate targeted exercises, simplify difficult musical passages and adjust instruction to individual learners’ abilities.
