San Francisco-based AI marketing startup Different has raised $48 million in seed funding led by General Catalyst, with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Together Fund, Haystack Ventures, MXV Capital and Firebolt Ventures.
The company announced the funding on October 20, 2026, as it emerged from stealth and introduced its AI-powered marketing system designed to manage end-to-end demand generation for B2B companies.
Different was co-founded by Ajeet Singh, Abhishek Pani and Abhinav Yajurvedi. Singh serves as CEO and previously co-founded enterprise technology companies Nutanix and ThoughtSpot. Pani, the company’s Chief Product Officer, previously led machine-learning work for Adobe’s marketing products, while Yajurvedi, its Chief Technology Officer, has experience developing marketing and commerce technology at Flipkart and Myntra.
Different provides an AI marketing platform that enables businesses to plan, execute and optimize demand-generation campaigns across multiple channels. Its system creates advertising content, emails and landing pages, personalizes campaigns for different customer segments and supports automated campaign execution.
The platform uses shared information about a company’s strategy, brand guidelines, audiences and campaign performance to coordinate marketing activities. Marketing teams retain control over strategy, budgets and campaign approvals, while the system handles execution and recommends adjustments based on performance data.
The company has also developed integrations with advertising platforms, email tools and customer relationship management systems to support campaign management across channels.
Different said it worked with early customers before its public launch to refine the platform and its campaign-management capabilities.
The company plans to use the new funding to expand its engineering and go-to-market teams as it develops and scales its AI marketing platform.
