CopperPilot, an AI-powered electronics hardware design startup operating from Houston, US, and Bengaluru, India, has raised $390,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Neon Fund, with participation from US-based angel investors.
The company plans to use the funding to advance product research and engineering, improve the speed and reliability of its AI design agent, and expand its engineering team.
Founded by Aditya NG, Mohit Bagur and Anish Harsha, CopperPilot develops AI software that helps hardware engineers automate electronic circuit and printed circuit board (PCB) design workflows.
Its platform allows engineers to describe hardware requirements in natural language and assists with component selection, schematic generation, component placement, PCB routing and design validation. The system also performs electrical rule and design rule checks to identify potential issues before manufacturing.
Alongside the funding announcement, CopperPilot introduced Epsilon, the first version of its AI design agent for hardware engineers. The platform integrates with existing electronic design automation tools, including KiCad, and supports workflows involving Altium and LTspice. It also connects with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and Codex.
CopperPilot reported that its weekly active users had increased 25-fold since August 2026, with more than 6,000 design tasks completed on the platform.
The company serves hardware engineers, startups and businesses working across electronics applications, with customers in the US, UK and Europe.
