Bengaluru-based childcare startup Maasi has raised ₹6 crore (approximately $630,000) in a pre-seed funding round led by Better Capital, with participation from Antler India. The round also included angel investors Rishikesh SR, co-founder of Rapido; Vaibhav Khandelwal, co-founder of Shadowfax; Sumit Khandelwal of Xoxoday; Siddhant Goyal of Crane VC; and Sanjay Ramakrishnan of Multiply Ventures.

Founded in 2025 by Aashu Manchali, Gargi Pandey and Reshov Roy, Maasi provides managed childcare services that connect families with trained and screened caregivers. The company offers on-demand nanny services, monthly childcare arrangements and specialised governess services. Its platform also supports caregiver matching, payments and ongoing assistance for families.

The startup emerged from Urban Parents Club, a Bengaluru-based parenting community with more than 8,000 members. Maasi reported serving over 1,200 parents through a network of more than 500 caregivers. Following its public launch on October 20, 2026, the company recorded more than 4,000 waitlist registrations within five days.

Maasi plans to use the funding to expand caregiver recruitment and training, further develop its technology platform and strengthen its team in Bengaluru.

The company also offers Maasi Governess, a childcare service featuring English-speaking caregivers trained to support children’s development through screen-free activities.
