Footprint, a New York-based financial crime compliance and risk operations platform, raised $25 million in Series B funding led by QED Investors. The round included participation from MUFG, Commerce Ventures, Lightbank and Alumni Ventures, alongside existing investors Index Ventures, Lerer Hippeau, BoxGroup, Operator Partners and Animal Capital.
Founded in 2022 by Eli Wachs and Alex Grinman, Footprint develops software for banks and fintech companies to manage financial crime compliance workflows. Its platform supports processes including anti-money laundering, Know Your Customer, Know Your Business, enhanced due diligence and transaction monitoring investigations.
The company’s platform includes Percy, an AI system designed to execute compliance investigations and workflows, and Trust Fabric, the governed data infrastructure that retains information and context generated through investigations. Footprint said the new capital will support further development of these products and double its engineering and sales teams.
Footprint previously raised a $13 million Series A led by QED Investors in May 2024. The company had earlier emerged from stealth in 2022 with $6 million in seed funding led by Index Ventures
