US-based allulose sweetener brand Jaca has secured a $1 million strategic investment from Mercurius Media Capital. The partnership will provide advertising resources to support consumer education and brand expansion.

Jaca, a US-based consumer food brand specializing in allulose as a sugar alternative, has received a $1 million strategic investment from Mercurius Media Capital (MMC). The investment, announced on October 8, 2026, is structured around MMC’s media-for-equity model, which provides advertising resources in exchange for equity.

The partnership will give Jaca access to MMC’s network of media partners, including television and digital advertising channels. The company plans to use this advertising support to increase consumer awareness of allulose, strengthen its brand presence and reach a wider US audience.

Led by Pete Ferrari, founder of Healthy For Life Foods, Jaca offers products made from allulose, a naturally occurring rare sugar found in small quantities in certain fruits. The company’s flagship product is a pure allulose sweetener designed for use in beverages, cooking and baking.

Allulose provides substantially fewer calories than conventional sugar and has a minimal effect on blood glucose levels. Jaca markets its products to consumers looking to reduce sugar intake, including people following ketogenic diets. The company also serves wholesale customers and food and beverage partners.

Mercurius Media Capital is a US-based investment firm that uses a media-for-equity approach to support consumer-facing businesses. Its model allows portfolio companies to obtain advertising inventory in exchange for equity, helping them expand their market reach without relying entirely on cash-funded advertising.

The investment is intended to support Jaca’s consumer education and brand-building activities as it seeks to expand the market for its allulose-based products.
