Netsec has raised more than $10 million in equity funding in a round led by Partech, with participation from Primo Capital and View Different, the investment vehicle of former Amazon executive Diego Piacentini. Its investor base also includes Riccardo Zacconi, Kima Ventures, Ithaca Investments, Vento, Vito Lomele, Everywhere Ventures and angel investors from the cybersecurity and technology sectors.
Founded in 2025 by Gianluca Varisco and Guglielmo Reina, Netsec provides managed cybersecurity and IT services to mid-market companies. Varisco previously held security roles at Rocket Internet, Arduino, Italy’s Digital Transformation Team and Google Cloud, while Reina previously worked in technology investing at Global Founders Capital and 468 Capital.
The company operates across areas including device and identity management, infrastructure, networking, cloud, help desk and security operations. Its cybersecurity services include 24/7 monitoring, managed detection and response, incident response, cloud security and compliance support. Netsec combines these services through a unified operating model, with AI-powered automation used for repetitive operational tasks. Its services are delivered through workplace tools including Slack and Microsoft Teams, with pricing structured on a per-employee basis.
Netsec said it manages thousands of endpoints for customers across Europe and the United States. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its automation and integration capabilities, grow its operations and support further expansion across both markets.
Barbican SAS, which operates as Netsec, is headquartered in France and Italy. The company holds ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications.
