Bengaluru-based specialty chemicals and advanced materials startup Scimplify has raised $25 million in a strategic equity funding round led by Hitachi Ventures. The round included new strategic investors Henkel and Teknor Apex, alongside existing investors Accel, 3one4 Capital, Bertelsmann India Investments and Omnivore.
The latest investment brings Scimplify’s total equity funding to approximately $80 million.
Founded in 2023 by Sachin Santhosh, Salil Srivastava and Dheeraj Dhingra, Scimplify provides research, development and manufacturing services for specialty chemicals and advanced materials. The company works with businesses across life sciences, agriculture, industrial chemicals, electronics and energy, helping them develop chemical products and transition from laboratory-scale processes to commercial production.
Scimplify combines in-house scientific research with a distributed manufacturing network. Its AI-enabled platform, Scinode, integrates scientific development, manufacturing capabilities, quality management and production coordination to support the development and commercialization of chemical products.
The company’s network includes more than 500 manufacturing partners, with customers across more than 30 countries.
Scimplify plans to use the new capital to expand research, processing and manufacturing capabilities in the United States, particularly for critical materials used in semiconductors, defence, energy and AI infrastructure.
Teknor Apex, which participated in the funding round as a strategic investor, is also expected to support Scimplify’s US expansion as a manufacturing partner. The investment will additionally support the company’s efforts to develop critical materials processing capabilities and expand its international operations.
The funding follows Scimplify’s $40 million Series B round in March 2025, which was co-led by Accel and Bertelsmann India Investments. That investment supported the company’s expansion into international markets and further development of its specialty chemicals manufacturing operations.
