Mumbai-based gourmet pizza brand The Dough Therapy has secured ₹5.25 crore in seed funding led by Michigan Capital Advisors, with participation from Equiglobe Investment. The company plans to double its outlet network to 20 locations and expand into new Indian cities.

Mumbai-based gourmet pizza brand The Dough Therapy has raised ₹5.25 crore (approximately $625,000) in its first institutional seed funding round at a valuation of ₹35 crore. The round was led by Michigan Capital Advisors Ltd. (MCAL), formerly known as Melwani Finance Limited, with participation from Equiglobe Investment Pvt. Ltd.

Founded in 2020 by Abhishek Dedhia, Mohit Chheda and Gaurav Majrekar, The Dough Therapy operates a vegetarian-focused pizza business offering more than 30 varieties of gourmet pizzas, including vegan options. The company serves customers through delivery and dine-in formats.

The brand began operations with its first outlet in Matunga, Mumbai, in November 2020 and has since expanded to 10 outlets across the city.

The company plans to allocate 60% of the newly raised capital towards outlet expansion, 15% towards brand marketing and the remaining 25% towards supply chain infrastructure, centralised operations and kitchen technology.

As part of its expansion strategy, The Dough Therapy aims to increase its network from 10 to 20 outlets over the next 12 months while entering additional Indian cities.

The planned expansion will combine company-owned outlets, selected dine-in locations and franchise partnerships as the brand develops its presence beyond Mumbai.
