Defense technology startup Furientis has raised $25 million in a Benchmark-led Seed round to expand its manufacturing, testing and interceptor development capabilities.

Furientis has raised $25 million in a Seed round led by Benchmark. The financing was announced on October 6, 2026.

Founded in May 2025 by Brody Franzen and Aris Simsarian, Furientis develops interceptor missiles designed for high-rate production. The company vertically integrates core subsystems including seekers, airframes, controls and solid rocket motors, with manufacturability incorporated into its product design.

Furientis said the new capital will support hiring, expansion of its in-house manufacturing and testing capabilities, and development work across its programs. The company has also secured a funded U.S. government prototyping contract related to a mid-range interceptor.

The Seed round follows a $5 million pre-seed financing announced in May 2026. That earlier round was led by Silent Ventures, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, SV Angel and other investors.
