OKX, a Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange and digital asset platform, secured a strategic investment from Circle, Qube Research & Technologies (QRT), Ripple and SC Ventures by Standard Chartered at a $25 billion pre-money valuation.
Announced on October 6, 2026, the financing extends an earlier strategic investment round backed by Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, in March 2026. The amount raised in the latest investment was not disclosed.
Founded by Star Xu, who serves as CEO, OKX operates a cryptocurrency exchange and financial technology platform serving individual traders and institutional participants. Its services include digital asset trading, liquidity infrastructure, stablecoin integrations and access to tokenized financial assets.
The new investors already maintain commercial relationships with OKX across different parts of its financial infrastructure.
Circle issues the USDC stablecoin, which is integrated into OKX’s trading ecosystem, while Ripple provides payments and stablecoin infrastructure, including its RLUSD stablecoin.
Qube Research & Technologies operates as an institutional trading counterparty, providing liquidity and risk management capacity. Standard Chartered acts as custodian for BlackRock’s BUIDL tokenized Treasury fund, which is supported through a collateral framework developed with OKX and BlackRock.
According to the company, the investment will support its international expansion and development of financial infrastructure connecting digital assets with traditional financial services.
OKX also plans to expand its tokenization capabilities for real-world assets and strengthen its trading infrastructure for institutional market participants.
The financing follows ICE’s March 2026 strategic investment, which established a relationship focused on digital asset market infrastructure and institutional financial services.
