Arboretum LifeSciences branding for the Cambridge-based precision medicine company.
Arboretum LifeSciences has raised $30 million in Series A financing to expand its genetic testing and molecular information platform for precision medicine.

Arboretum LifeSciences, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based molecular information company focused on precision medicine, has launched with $30 million in Series A financing. The company said the round was led by F-Prime, GV, .406 Ventures, Hims & Hers and Amgen, alongside other healthcare investors.

Arboretum combines genetic testing, AI and clinical data to expand genomic medicine into common diseases. The company works with healthcare systems to provide clinical genetic testing and build research networks that generate molecular and longitudinal clinical datasets. These datasets are intended to support patient care, genomically stratified clinical trials, patient matching and drug development.

Anthony Philippakis, co-founder and CEO of Arboretum and a general partner at GV, leads the company alongside President Clare Bernard. Arboretum said its founding team includes leaders from the Broad Institute’s Data Sciences Platform with experience spanning genomics, data science, clinical research and healthcare infrastructure.

The company is initially working with healthcare delivery organizations including Advocate Health, Geisinger, Providence Healthcare and Cardiovascular Associates of America. Arboretum plans to integrate clinically indicated genetic testing into routine care while developing research cohorts that can support precision medicine studies and clinical trial recruitment.
