Sunbound, a Washington, DC-based provider of AI-powered revenue management software for senior living operators, announced a $24 million Series A funding round and the completed acquisition of Richter Healthcare Consultants on October 15, 2026. The financing brings the company’s total funding to $36 million.
The round was led by TTV Capital, with participation from Bling Capital, Fika Ventures, Live Oak Bank and Ziegler Linkage Fund. Sunbound plans to use the new capital to expand its business and accelerate product development.
Founded in 2021, Sunbound is led by co-founders Manny Cominsky, CEO, and Stuart Mason, Chief Investment Officer. The company provides an AI-powered revenue operating system designed for senior living and skilled nursing operators. Its platform integrates financial screening during admissions, resident payments, revenue cycle management and working capital operations.
Sunbound’s software helps care providers automate financial workflows, manage Medicare and Medicaid claims, process private payments and monitor receivables. The platform combines automation with revenue management specialists who handle more complex billing and reimbursement processes.
Alongside the financing, Sunbound completed its acquisition of Richter Healthcare Consultants, an Ohio-based company with more than 25 years of experience serving post-acute care and senior living operators. Richter provides outsourced revenue cycle management, accounting, Medicaid eligibility, reimbursement services and clinical and financial consulting.
The acquisition brings Richter’s financial services expertise into Sunbound’s technology platform, extending its capabilities for skilled nursing and post-acute care providers. Richter will continue operating under the name Richter, powered by Sunbound.
Jennifer Richter, CPA, founder and CEO of Richter Healthcare Consultants, will remain with the combined business in a role focused on industry partnerships and product strategy. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
According to Sunbound, the combined businesses are on track to process $3 billion in annualized payment volume. The company intends to use the integration to expand its revenue management services across senior living and skilled nursing facilities.
