AblePay Health has raised $20 million in a Series A financing led by F-Prime, with participation from A1 Health Ventures and .406 Ventures. The company said the capital will support its continued growth, further development of its technology platform, and expansion of services for patients and healthcare providers.
Founded in 2016 by John Fistner, AblePay Health provides a patient financial engagement platform designed to help patients manage out-of-pocket medical expenses while helping healthcare providers improve payment performance. Fistner serves as the company’s CEO.
AblePay’s platform integrates with healthcare providers and is designed to provide non-recourse payment on an accelerated, predictable schedule. Enrolled patients can access flexible payment options, opportunities to save on eligible out-of-pocket costs, and an advocacy team that assists with billing questions and issues.
The company plans to use the Series A capital to expand its technology and services and reach additional health systems and patients across the United States. .406 Ventures also lists AblePay among its healthcare portfolio companies.
