Berlin-based fintech company finmid has raised €17 million in a Series A extension round, bringing its total funding to €52 million. The round was led by Big Pi Ventures and Main Set, with follow-on participation from existing investor Earlybird Venture Capital. The funding was announced on October 6, 2026.
Founded in 2021 by Alexander Talkanitsa and Max Schertel, finmid develops embedded lending infrastructure that enables digital marketplaces and software platforms to offer financing directly to their business customers. Its technology allows platforms to integrate lending products into their existing services without becoming banks or building their own lending operations.
The company provides infrastructure for credit underwriting, financing and loan servicing. By using transaction and operational data available through partner platforms, finmid supports financing products designed around the needs of small and medium-sized businesses.
finmid plans to use the new funding to expand its asset finance products, strengthen its multi-source funding infrastructure and develop its underwriting capabilities. The investment will also support expansion into vehicle financing, marketplace lending and additional platform categories, including mobility and e-commerce.
The financing announcement comes alongside new lending programmes with mobility platform Bolt and Greek online marketplace Skroutz.
Through Bolt Vehicle Solutions, finmid provides vehicle financing for fleet operators, allowing eligible businesses to purchase vehicles through fixed monthly repayments, with ownership transferring after the final payment. The programme is designed to help fleet operators finance vehicle purchases and expansion.
The company is also supporting Skroutz Funding, a merchant lending programme that enables businesses selling through Skroutz to access financing within the marketplace. The programme uses finmid’s lending infrastructure while drawing on funding provided by Skroutz.
finmid’s existing platform relationships include Wolt, Delivery Hero and myPOS. Its embedded lending infrastructure operates across 30 European markets, and the company reports that it has extended more than €4 billion in financing offers through its platform network.
The latest financing follows finmid’s earlier funding announcement in 2024, when the company disclosed €35 million raised from investors including Blossom Capital, Earlybird Venture Capital and N26 co-founder Max Tayenthal.
