Blackwall, an Estonia-based cybersecurity and web traffic management company, has raised $100 million in a Series C funding round led by AVP, with participation from existing investors Dawn Capital, MMC Ventures, and Tera Ventures. The financing values the company at $2.2 billion.
Founded in 2019 by Nikita Rozenberg and Denis Prochko, Blackwall develops security infrastructure that helps hosting providers, cloud platforms, and managed service providers protect websites and applications from malicious online traffic. Rozenberg serves as CEO, while Prochko is the company’s CTO.
Blackwall’s platform operates within service providers’ infrastructure, enabling them to manage and secure traffic across their customer networks. Its capabilities include bot mitigation, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) protection, web application firewalls, load balancing, and controls for automated traffic generated by AI agents.
The company plans to use the new funding to expand its international operations across 12 strategic regions in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. It also intends to develop additional traffic management and security capabilities for its hosting-provider network.
Blackwall previously operated under the BotGuard name before rebranding in March 2025. That month, the company raised €45 million in a Series B round led by Dawn Capital to support international expansion and product development.
The latest financing will support Blackwall’s efforts to expand its security infrastructure and help service providers manage legitimate visitors, automated applications, and malicious traffic across their networks.
