Vinyl Health, a US-based healthtech startup developing an AI-powered personal health assistant, has raised $2 million in seed funding led by HealthX Ventures.

The company plans to use the investment to support a broader public launch of its platform and further develop its AI-powered tools for managing personal health information.

Headquartered in Marlton, New Jersey, Vinyl Health provides a digital platform that helps patients manage medical records, document healthcare visits, understand treatment plans and share relevant information with caregivers and healthcare providers.

The platform uses ambient AI to capture medical conversations and convert them into structured notes, summaries and follow-up actions. It also brings health records from connected providers into one place, allowing users to organize their medical information and coordinate care across their support networks.

Vinyl Health was founded by Dr. Kaitlan Baston, who serves as its Chief Executive Officer. A physician and former New Jersey Commissioner of Health, Baston previously held leadership roles at University Hospital in Newark. The company’s leadership team also includes co-founders Nilesh Bhandari, Chief Product Officer, and Eric Uhe, Chief Technology Officer.

The platform is designed for patients managing their own healthcare and individuals coordinating care for family members. With patient permission, its technology is also intended to identify relevant medical questions and potential care opportunities based on available health information.

Vinyl Health’s mobile application is available through Apple’s App Store and Google Play Store.

HealthX Ventures, which led the seed investment, is a Madison, Wisconsin-based venture capital firm focused on early-stage digital health companies developing technology to improve healthcare accessibility, efficiency and affordability.
