VECKTA, a San Diego, California-based onsite energy planning and procurement platform, has raised $11 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round led by Origin Ventures.
The round included participation from new and existing investors Tech Square Ventures, VoLo Earth Ventures, Cove Fund, Catalyst by Wellstar, Engage, Emerald Bay Ventures, She’s Independent Investments, and Mobilize AI x Energy Ventures.
Founded in 2019, VECKTA is led by CEO and co-founder Gareth Evans. Its founding team also includes Calvin Fine, Dan Roberts, and Felipe Sarubbi. The company provides software and procurement services that help businesses and commercial property owners evaluate, plan, and purchase onsite energy systems, including solar installations and battery storage.
VECKTA’s platform evaluates more than 5,000 data points, including utility rates, equipment costs, grid conditions, and available incentives, to generate site-specific financial assessments and recommended energy configurations in under a minute.
The platform also enables businesses managing multiple properties to identify suitable sites for energy investments. Through its supplier marketplace, customers can obtain standardized proposals from prequalified providers and compare project costs, technical specifications, and commercial terms.
According to the company, its analysis of approximately 34,000 customer sites found that 37% could support financially viable solar or battery storage projects under current conditions. VECKTA also reported that customers had contracted onsite energy systems across 128 sites in 2026, with procurement costs ranging from 20% to 45% below independently sourced bids.
The company’s customers include Enterprise Mobility, Lithia & Driveway, Phillips Edison & Co., and Regency Centers. It also maintains collaborative relationships with JLL, Voltus, Leap, and Cascade Energy.
VECKTA plans to use the Series A financing to expand its US customer-facing team, enhance its software capabilities, develop partnerships, and grow its network of more than 3,000 vetted suppliers.
The company also intends to extend its platform’s capabilities across the full lifecycle of onsite energy assets and automate the evaluation of additional revenue opportunities associated with energy systems.
The financing follows VECKTA’s 2023 seed round and will support its continued expansion across the United States.
